The food above is now more pricey compared to 10 years ago. During the good old day, RM 1.50 is sufficient enough for a good breakfast. Any idea where all these good food comes from?

It is all from Chung Ling High School's canteen. I believe if you are a student from this place, this is the one thing that you'll miss and you are proud of.

When I was eating there, old time memories came back flashing my memories of the 15 minutes short break during the schooling days. Bell rings, students marching towards the canteen, eating and chatting, announcements and then back to our classes. I had my good time during my at the school last week, so readers take your break and look back to your old time sweet memories.

The combination of beef, beef parts and soup is tasty.

Service: 6/10
During off peak period the order is served fast.

Penang: Places to go in 2009 in New York Times

Penang has been nominated in The New York Times "The 44 Places To Go in 2009" as a result of Reader Recommendations. Penang has been categorized under frugal and foodie places to go in 2009. Article can also be found from The Star.

Foodies are now turning to Penang one of South-East Asia's liveliest street-food scene, which rules as the culinary capital of Malaysia, for delicious pan-Asian flavors of Hawker Food, such as the Char Koey Teow, Curry Mee or Asam Laksa.

Today, we are going to introduce to all our readers on the famous Hawker Food that can be easily found in Penang.

Being a fan of Char Koay Teow, I hunt around Penang Island for the best one. Penang is very famous for having the best Char Koay Teow in Malaysia and what's more if we can find the BEST in Penang?

Photobucket
Ah Leng Char Koay Teow. It is located opposite the famous Stadium Curry Mee.

Many of you have heard of him, if you are a local Penangnite.
Photobucket

Ah Leng Char Koay Teow is famous for having a special chili sauce to fry the Koay Teow.
Photobucket

What makes it tasty is, it is fried with pork oil (non-halal) and using charcoal to fry the koay teow.
Photobucket
Ah Leng Char Koay Teow RM 5.00 (Regular)

Ah Leng, the cook is also good at controling the amount of oil used to fry the koay teow. If you notice, the fried koay teow served is less oily than many of the other famous stalls in Penang.
Photobucket

The taste of it? Superb, not too spicy, just tasted good enough.
Photobucket

A cup of fresh orange juice RM1.60 to refresh after having a good meal.
